SINOSSI
Mukha è il soprannome di Vera Mukhina, una studentessa sedicenne che vive in una piccola città russa. Vive sola da quando sua madre è morta, ha cominciato a fare boxe e non ha mai chiesto aiuto a nessuno. Non è il tipo che perdona gli errori degli altri. Un giorno un uomo irrompe nella sua vita dicendo di essere il padre. Fyodor Mukhin, un camionista, apre la porta con la sua chiave, lascia lo spazzolino in bagno e inizia a vivere nella sua casa. Quindi suo padre non era rimasto bruciato in un serbatoio, come sua madre le diceva. Solo non era riuscito a farsi vedere prima. E’ abbastanza perché Mukha gli dichiari guerra.

Vladimir Kott was born in 1973. He graduated from the Director’s Faculty of GITIS (State Theatre Institute) in 1996. From 1996 to 2000 he worked as a theatre director in a number of regional theatres in Tver, Novgorod and other cities. In 1999 worked as Assistant Director for the film Yekhali dva shofyora /Two Drivers (dir. by Alexander Kott). In 2004 graduated from the Director’s Faculty of Graduate School of Scriptwriters and Film directors (Master Vladimir Khotinenko). His graduation project Dver’/The Door (19 minutes) won numerous awards at international and Russian festivals. Mukha is his first full-length feature film which follows a number of successful TV productions.
NOTA DI REGIA
Questa storia, per come la vedo io, riguarda l’attuale generazione di trentenni. Sono adulti infantili, a malapena responsabili di qualcosa. La mia storia riguarda una persona che si sente libera, ma che in realtà è completamente legata. Si è scelto un’occupazione che sembra fornirgli lo stadio definitivo di libertà, ma che in realtà è solo un modo per sfuggire alla vita reale. Finge di non amare nessuno, ma in realtà semplicemente non vuole amare. Ha rinviato la sua vita, come se dicesse: prima dovrei finire la scuola, poi fare il servizio militare, poi completare gli studi, trovare un lavoro, fare soldi, e poi…Questa è davvero la domanda più importante; cosa succede dopo?
