That is until Adil, 11, the smallest and least popular of the kids in the apartment block, turns up on Berik’s doorstep looking for the local bully’s football, which he has lost.

They rob houses, banks, jewellers, trucks – anything they can profit from. The video I lupi was made in collaboration with the Wolves themselves and the artist’s father.

The film presents a behind-the-scenes look at a much derided profession. Paparazzi is the first Polish film to explore this topic. Bernaś looks at some of the most significant media incidents in Poland in 2010 from the point of view of the paparazzi – from the hunt for Roman Polanski to the Smoleńsk plane crash. However, in the foreground we see the dramatic story of a man who makes controversial choices on a daily basis, and who consequently pays a heavy emotional, personal and ethical price. The main protagonist appears to be as ruthless towards himself as towards the world in which he hunts.

Jake lags behind, attracted by the carved shapes of Pulcinella… holy images, cribs, horns… Spellbound by such extraordinary shapes, the naughty boy stops at a stand and begins to touch Pulcinellas. While quarrelling, the couple suddenly realizes that Jack is no longer with them. They begin to search for him desperately, blaming each other for this mishap. Sullo sfondo la storia drammatica di un uomo che fa scelte controverse ogni giorno, pagando un prezzo emotivo e personale. Il protagonista appare spietato verso se stesso e verso il mondo che vuole rappresentare.

Una strada trafficata a Napoli, tanti negozi che vendono presepi. Una coppia benestante americana e Jake, il loro bambino di 10 anni, cercano di farsi strada nella folla. Mentre il marito e la moglie litigano su quale strada prendere, il ragazzo si allontana. Jack si attarda dietro, attratto dalle forme scolpite di Pulcinella… immagini sante, presepi e corna… Ammaliato da forme cosi belle, il birichino si ferma nei pressi di uno stand e comincia a toccare i Pulcinella. Mentre litigano, i genitori si accorgono che Jack non è con loro. Cominciano a cercarlo disperatamente, incolpandosi a vicenda. Ma il ragazzino non c’è.
