SYNOPSIS
Three very dissimilar brothers, Vanni, Gregorio and Livia, after their past of envy and quarrels, unite when their father Mario, a sculptor and a famous poet, suddenly disappears, just the day before Chiagiana Academy has to award an important prize to him, so they are forced to search for him…
CRITICAL NOTE
“ (…) But behind there is a deeper mystery, that emerges through the memories of childhood, the photos and videos found: that’s the formula, the ineluctability, the impossibility of living together, of being fathers, sons and brothers. Several years ago, the late lamented Stefano Reggiani defined Verdone’s cinema as ‘melancholy’, a neologism which remains the best definition for Wolf! Wolf!, where the minimalist, lovingly psychologist enjoyment, served with the uncommon identification of the excellent cast, corresponds to stronger sentiment of the scenery (the nice photo is by Danilo Desideri).” (Tullio Kezich, Il Corriere della Sera)
