SYNOPSIS
Mantova, Italy. Martine is trapped in crossfire between bank robbers and police. While trying to escape, Martine is shot and dead by a bullet triggered by a policeman, Leonardo. After the accident, Leonardo goes through a crisis both in his professional life and in his relationship with Giuliana. His existence is further upset by the meeting with a beautiful, strange young woman walking in the rain, Sandrine.
THE DIRECTOR: TONINO ZANGARDI
Director and script writer, he started his work as Assistant Director for Il prato e La notte di San Lorenzo directed by the Taviani Brothers, Mi manda Picone directed by Nanny Loy, and La disubbidienza directed by Aldo Lado. In 1992 he has directed his first film Allullo Drom (L’Anima Zingara), with Isabella Ferrari and Claudio Bigagli. The film has participated to several festivals all over the world and has won as Best Film at Mons Film Festival (Belgium), Villerupt Festival (France), Cairo Festival (Egypt). Since 1995 he has worked much for national televisions, directing TV series, documentaries, programmes of journalistic analysis, and so on. In 2003 he came back to the cinema with Prendimi e portami via (2003), with Valeria Golino and Rodolfo Laganà, awarded at Festival di Bellinzona (Switzerland) and Scopije Festival (Macedonia) with the Gran Jury Prize; e nel 2006 Ma l’amore si, with Annamaria Barbera, Alessandro Haber, Rodolfo Laganà, Andrea Tidona.
