SYNOPSIS
Diario di uno “Scuro” is a real story.
It is the story of a boy like many others, who, pursuing his dream of a life over the top, is involved in an headlong flight that, from a young university student, will turn him into a real Mafia boss.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Sacra Corona Unita is a kind of Mafia with an innovative, irregular route as compared to the other Mafias. The most recent of all, all its initiation rites, its verticistic structure, its code of honour all are originated from a mix and new interpretation of the old traditions of organised crime.
A post-modern mafia as we can call it, violent amd irrational, that at least in its first generation, has not been able to resist to the repressive reaction, enforced by the State, even if late.
Antonio is crashed by its mechanisms and his story ends tragically. His dream has turned into a nightmare.
Diario di uno “Scuro” thus becomes a real “mystery of the soul”.
Antonio is the visceral protagonist and the hallucinated narrator of this story.
