EUROPEAN CINEMA FESTIVAL
XI Edition
Lecce, from 13th to 18th April, 2010
The eleventh edition of the European Film Festival will take place in Lecce from 13th to 18th April, 2010 at the Cityplex Santalucia.
The Festival is conceived and organised by the Cultural Association “Art Promotion” and it is recognised by the Ministry of Fine Arts, as an event of “national interest”.
It avails of the Patronage and cooperation of the European Parliament, the Ministry of Fine Arts - General Directorate for Cinema, the Apulia Regional Administration - Mediterranean and Tourism Departments, the Province of Lecce, the Municipality of Lecce, the Experimental Centre of Cinematography, the CCIAA of Lecce, the Apulia Film Commission, APT of Lecce, the Turkish Embassy, the French Embassy, the Spanish Embassy, Rotary Club Gallipoli, the National Syndicate Italian Film Critics, the National Syndicate Italian Film Journalists, the FIPRESCI, Cineuropa, AIACE National Association, the University of Salento, the Agency for Cultural Euro-Mediterranean Heritage, Short-Lenght Films National Center, BMW-Mini Emmeauto Car selling point of Lecce, CineWeb Costa, Futuro Remoto Jewellery and Vestas Hotels & Resorts.
The European Film Festival of Lecce is member of the Italian Film Festival Association within the CineNetFestival circuit, and it is supported by the Festival of Festivals.
The programme includes: the Official Competition, the sections outlining important figures of the Italian and International Cinema with the analysis of specific issues, special events and national premieres.
Mario Verdone Prize
What is new in this eleventh edition is the institution of the MARIO VERDONE PRIZE, assigned by the Verdone family to a young author who particularly distinguished himself/herself during the last film season. The prize will be assigned Sunday 18th April.(read)
